I have an old p120 that wont load ( a backup copy) win98se. This is connected to my network and I have access to a cdrom via the network. My question is can someone tell me how i can load win98se anto my p120. I will have to format the partition of the drive i alrady have win98 upgrade on. So how do i gain access to the files etc???

Well, someone else might come up with a better answer, but you could:
1. Make a directory on the p120 called 'WINCABS' or something.
2. Copy all the Windows setup files from the networked CD to this directory.
3. Boot the p120 using a floppy.
4. Delete every thing on the harddrive *except* the WINCABS directory. (You can use the deltree command to recursively delete a directory tree... read up on it).
5. Run the Windows setup from the WINCABS directory.

Unless you can create a DOS network client boot disk , Sleddog's method is the way I would do it. There are some DOS network disks out there but I've found that most need extra tweaking before they'll work.
Hope this helps http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
