Thanks in advance for all of your inputs and reponses!
My problem is that I can't get my win98 machines to open my other win2k machines on the network, they ask for passwords of some sort that I can't figure out what passwords they want. on the other hand, my win2k's don't have that problem among themselves or with the other win98 machines! Basically, I can't open my win2k machines with my win98 machines but i can open my win98's with my win2k's and win2k's to win2k's. Please let me know what you think the problem is and how would you advise me to fix it. Once again, thanks!

In a peer to peer network (IE: there is no server to process network logins) you'll need to either assign a userid and password for the 98 computer to use for accessing the Win2k computers and then give permissions to the shares those users need .Or have the Win98 computers use the same userid and password that is used to login to the Win2k computers locally.

Hope this helps http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
