In my unending quest for more disk space, I have noted the presence of what appear to be 2 swap files: C:\win386.swp (~40meg) and C:\windows\win386.swp (~30 meg). Is this the normal state of affairs for an old win 95 machine (90mhz pent)? Can I get rid of one of these????
Thanks,
Dan

If you let Windows manage virtual memory (and never adjust the swapfile settings), the swapfile is placed in C:\Windows.
If you make adjusatments to the swapfile settings, your 'custom' swapfile is created in C:\. In this case the one in C:\Windows should have been removed, but sometimes it doesn't happen.
Just check the dates on the swapfiles. The more recent one is the one is use. The other one can be deleted.
