on a desktop pc, what are some test i can run to troubleshoot a cpu.:eek

What is the nature of the problem with the cpu? If possible, give some details of what is happening and someone can help. The fastest way to find out if a cpu is working correctly is to have a known good motherboard, Ram and video card ....then power up and see if it will post to the bios screen and take the changes you make.
