Couldn't post back a reply Pete, as for some reason the topic was closed. But on the subject of the cd-rom, where exactly is storage troubleshooting http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif I tried asd, but that didn't come up with anything. The Mmtask error however is in MSACM32.dll. If that helps at all. I shhlould maybe mention that when you first boot up the light does come on for the cd-rom, but there is nothing after that. Also anything I do, any program I try to run i>e. help, I get error messages that I have to click on several times beffore they go away, then I can access the software.
