I have a computer with on board video. When this
machine boots there is 8 beeps & no video!
There is a row of pins next to the port on the
motherboard, would this type video have a jumper?
There is no sleeve covering any pins to terminate
a connection(if that's what these pins are for)
I suggested buying a video card, but that wasn't an
option.I was given a Rage II + DVD card and I had to
download the drivers which was a 2.57mb file, so a floppy
won't work.I don't think this computer has zip drive software
installed. How can I load video on this machine?????
Is the best option to try a card with a driver file small
enough to fit oa floppy?, or should I use this pc as a doorstop?

There is either a jumper on the motherboard which disables video or in the bios. You can go ahead and install the video card .......run it in regular VGA mode and go on internet and download the right drivers directly to that PC. If this seems too complex, I would consider taking it to a qualified repair technician.
