Volume Control problem

On my PC that is running Windows 95, I tried to go into my Volume controls and it gave me a message saying that there are no active mixer devices available. It says I can install or activate mixer devices from the Control Panel. How do I get the sound back on my computer?

go to START, Programs, accesories, enterteinment --> volume control. Go to Options and select properties. Once there, you will see a Mixer device option. Scroll down and make your selection.
