I have recently built a brand new pc with an all in one motherboard. It is a p3 650. I set the jumpers (according to the manual) for 6.5 multiplyer and 100 mgz. And also in Bios I set the multiplyer for 6.5. But for some ungodly reason it only reads 433 mgz from the cpu. Every time I change a jumper setting nothing changes on the P.O.S.T. test. It still only reads 433. I know the Cpu is good it's new and it's been tested. So where else can I specify the changes in cpu speed? It runs really slow with multimedia stuff. (Web cams, video games, Etc..) I need to resolve the cpu issue and If that doesn't resolve the EXTREME slowness of the computer then I need to know if there is an easy way to figure out how to detect a conflict in Drivers (for the multimedia peripherals.)
Is there a really good software somewhere for doing a good system check. Like for faulty components? I have an ancient one called "troubleshooter" but I think it's too out dated to even detect anything on these newer systems.

Thank you in advance for your knowledge and cooperation.

Even though you set the jumper, do you also have a BIOS setup option to specify 100Mhz bus speed? If not, you may have a CPU whose FSB speed is "locked" at 66, not uncommon for Intel. 6.5 x 66.6 = 433. If you can set the multiplier jumper to 9.5 or 10, you will come closer to 650. But, be careful, this may not be "healthy" for the CPU. If not, you need a CPU with FSB=100.

Ok thank you for the advice. I looked in bios and I couldn't change the bus speed, only the multiplyer speed. But I'll try overclocking it to see if that works. thank you again
