It is disturbing. I have been using one for a couple years. The ads that are in the IU don't bother me, so that part I am not worried about. If they are data mining I am worried about that. Especially if even when the device isn't attached.;)

And no easy way to uninstall it is also pretty bad.

I have set my firewall to log any attempts for it to access the net while it is not attached. Guess we will see if it does anything...

Absolutely nothing in my firewall logs this morning. The machine that has one hooked up to it at all times shows one active connection, but that one connection I am sure is a stay alive connection that is necessary. And the data transfer amounts are not rising except to make or receive a call.

I have never received any email from them, besides voice mails.

I need to look into it further...
