Does anyone know where to go (in UK preferably) for all the kit needed to build a laptop? Is it possible?
Thanks.
Tony.

Possible = probably, practical = probably not. The motherboards in laptops are very proprietary, non-standard, and not interchangeable from a Compaq to an HP, for example. There is no standard size or configuration like ATX. If you already had a laptop and needed a replacement mobo, you'd have to get/find one for the same model, usually from the manufacturer. HD's, CD/DVD's and floppy drives are 1/3 height rather than 1/2 as used in desktop/tower systems. Thanks - I can handle bad tidings. Better not embark on the project in the first place. Guess there had to be a reason why I'd never heard of anyone doing it!
