I have a 2-wire DSL modem/wireless router combo that is connected via a wired connection to my main XP Pro PC. It also connects wirelessly to my secondary XP Home PC. This was a rather seemless setup.
Now I have a Win98 laptop that I would like to be able to share files with on the other two PCs, but I do not want it to have Internet. I'm pretty sure I had it set up once with a wireless card to connect to the Internet through the same router. I bet if I slap the card in, it will connect.
To remove Internet, I think I need to set something in the DSL modem.
I'm not sure exactly what I need to do to share files.
I think I need to set a shared folder on each computer, but there is something more to it. Do I have to set up each computer with a user log-in, and then define a network with the same name on each PC?
