Hi, all. I'm sure many of you have removed Windows 98 and then re-installed it just to clean it up and get a fresh start after a couple years of program installs/uninstalls bog it down.
Is there a site on the web that walks through the procedure for doing that? Or any recommendations on what to do and not do?
Thanks to everyone for the great help in the past. One can learn a lot here just be sitting back and reading posts. Great place. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

Heya Dogdaysdude
If all ya wanna do is freshin up windows...........first go in and uninstall and remove anything that you want gone clean out your temp directory, temp internet files etc...........then once youve got your comp less messy, pop in your win98 cd.........in the tools folder under another sub dir, i forget the exact name of the folder, but at any rate run PCRESTORE.BAT and go eat dinner. when ya come back youll have windows reinstalled and itll save all your old settings installed programs etc etc etc
Have a great day!
hope that helps
PS when its done itll ask ya for your backup files tell it cancel and then when it asks you tell it not to ask you again and you dont wanna see it again.......
