Is there a way to transfer a Windows media file to a cd in such a way to see it in a DVD player?

hmmmm well I started to respond because I thought I had the answer, but now that Im about to write it, I think that it could very well be that there is no way to do it.........the problem is MS got a bit upset about people playing with their codecs and has taken some steps to stop that kinda stuff from happening........but anyways maybe this will help.......in order to put a movie on a cd and then have it play on a DVD player it has to be converted to MPEG2 then burned as a VCD many programs can burn VCD's........also your DVD player has to be able to play a VCD, some can some cant......so what you need to find is a program that can convert hte MS file to MPEG2.....and then pray your DVD player can play it after you burn it........if all else fails get a TV out vid card and put it on a VHS hehe .....hopefully that helped....Good Luck!
