Hi Everyone
I've had a Core 2 duo for awhile now. At some point one of the cpu pins got burned. I never realized this happened and for a good year and a half I had huge pc issues. It ended up messing up my asus bored and a couple other components. I had a part in messing them up. I did a few things I shouldn't have done. Ok here's the situation. I'm starting with a few items I would like to use. I know if i'm going to do an upgrade the ram is going to have to be sold. So that leaves me with 2 3870 ati cards, a cooler master stacker tower, 2 hard drives. That's about it. So the core components are ready for an upgrade. The MB the CPU and the PS. Here's the thing i'm looking for the best upgrade I can get with out breaking the have no issues researching deals it's more whats considered a good upgrade for me. I use my desktop for mostly gaming and some internet stuff.

well, that a tall order, willowzxx, as How much money are you going to part with....I will tell ya right up front that most of your old stuff, is well.......OLD...even your 2 x 3870 cards are ,well, OLD....I would see if I could keep the case first/ 2nd....the PSU....is it 650w brand name PSU?or better?/Pick a MB that will suit your needs as in are you going to get SLI or not?....I got to say that any card out today will smoke those 2 you got now.....but nowadays is not as necessary as it use to be.....Your CPU....it would be nice to get a quad core for the future...multiple apps....and try to get at least 4 gigs RAM..............If you HDD's are older then they have come some with speed now.......a good WD Black..1T... should do for backup with a SSD for your main drive, but you can use your 2 old drives for back
