Welcome, Jamesw! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif That number is called the 'BIOS ID string', but it's not the actual model number of the motherboard itself. It does show that the BIOS is by Award, and the chipset is the Intel 430TX. You may have to inspect the mobo up close to find the model number. If it's there at all, it may be on an adhesive label or silk-screened right on the board. It could even be on the back side. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif Motherboard HomeWorld has some info on a DFI here (http://www.motherboards.org/manufacturerd.html?manufid=28), but is it the right one? Anyway, the page lists an address and phone number. It has a link to a web site too, but I couldn't get it to go through. Try it, it may work for you. Good Luck! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

Wim's BIOS (http://www.ping.be/bios/) has it listed with ????? So it must be one of those they haven't figured out. I tried, can't find any info on it either.

If you know where the computer came from, see if you can contact the supplier, and you might get lucky. Also, grab a magnifying glass and check the board closely, some have the settings silk-screened onto the boards.

You may want to run through the post in Wim's discussion area or post a message there, I also found that DFI seems to have went the way of the dinosaur.....(seems that the site was active a couple of weeks ago, but now it is not)

well as far as the web site goes dfi is still around its just they dont support the old hardware anymore they are here...... http://www.dfi.com/ they have a link on that site that points to "outdated" hardware which seems originally to have pointed to dfiusa.com which seems to be gone.....there are about 6 web sites related to dfi which are all active some of them in several dif languages but none of them have any info at all about your particular board.........Good Luck! wish I could help more I know what thats like http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif
