slow puter

How can I speed up my puter?
I get an arrow with hour glass.......and....it takes for ever for the page to open?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Alright,

Youve got three separate topics,and all three colu be inter-related:

If you currently have two versions of Netscape intalalled and they are in differnt folders and you are trying to acces the internet with it then it could slow things down.

If you are running many programs int he background that could slow things down, without knowing some more specific information about your computer, it would be difficult to say exactly what is the source of the slowness....

It seems to me to be a matter of preference as to which one is better, some people like one and not the other and vice versa, the are differences in how each one handles a Web page but I think that it comes down to which one you like better.....
