Looking to get a good desktop for my parents, and too lazy to build it.

My parents seem to favor the big monitor, but Im wondering if the price difference is worth it.

Depends how much they want to spend. Do they realise how big that monitor is though? I mean, that thing is huge for most desktop uses.

20" widescreen is not that big at all, but a good start for a desktop. It always depends on what you / your parents are going to do with the pc, but I'd consider using the 70$ upgrade option for a 21.5" display... :)

But: let your parents take a look at how big this screen really will look like in RL...

geez get a bigger monitor....THEY are OLDER like me....I have 27 inch.....lol......eyesight goes.....and I would get a better deal at costco than bestbuy.......
