My question is, can I upgrade the processor in this DELL to a duo-core processor and if so, what ones?

No you can't. Not worth spending money on that computer, better off saving for a new one.

trade ya for a 266CPU/34mb RAM/2mb GPU,(it's on a stick)/3gig HDD/WIN 95
still original setup, works online, a little slow....but works
