hi all dont know if this is the right forum but here goes.
i have recently put a agp card in my system , before this it just had onboard agp graphics , but in my bios it has 'allocate irq for pci vga' set to yes , also in my mainboard booklet it says 'if this is enabled and irq will be assigned to the pci graphics system'. you set this to no to free up an irq .
but i dont know what an irq is and i presumed this should be set to no anyway anyone help?.
also when i put the card in i had to clear cmos when i ran setup i loaded optinal values as opposed to best values was i correct in doing this?. any help will be gratefully received.
