GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD7 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128413) for US$339

GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD5 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128422) for US$279

GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128423) for US$209

I'm puzzled; I was just browsing, and it seems they were all roughly released at the end of last year. Can someone point to the differences, in particular which might justify the cost difference from US$70 to US$130?

Between the least and most expensive ones above, it is mostly in the LAN capabilities (one is single, the other dual chip and ports) and also look at the difference in the features on the specs page (the more expensive one is SLI capable, has extra power for devices and USB3 capable, SATA3, etc).

Okay, the last model has only one LAN port, whereas the first two have two; one other thing is that the first two apparently have a power button and an onboard LED debugger code display.

But according to the manufacturer's website the other capabilities you mentioned are all identical, including 2 USB 3.0, 2 SATA 6 Gb/s, 6 SATA 3 Gb/s... in fact, the ones I mentioned are the only differences...

(BTW this situation isn't the only one that confuses me; the ASUS P6T models (there are three) are also quite similar (though not quite as similar-to-each-other as the ones here) to one another but with even more price differences.)

a lot of the difference's will be in the BIOS......some of this does not get advertised....specially the bad parts........like locked multipliers, etc........really need the manual specs
