HP vs17d Monitor Speakers not working

It has built in speakers, but they don't work anyone know how to fix this?

Did you plug in a cable from the sound out (usually green) on your computer? There should be a green (usually green) connector on the back of the monitor somewhere for the speakers. If a monitor has built-in speakers it will normally come with the necessary cable.
