Hello I am setting up a wireless network.

What is the traditional limit of an Access Point in an wireless wifi network?
Do they have long range Access Point (AP) of 200 metres?

Thank you in advance.

Most consumer grade models have fairly short ranges...some do have 1000 ft or more (300 m) but you have to look at the specs in detail to find the range information. Do have a particular brand/model that you are looking at?

This is what I had expected. Thank you.
I wanted to be sure. So an alternative to having traditional wireless access point would be to have a microwave dish which I know has a longer range of about 4 miles? Would you in this circumstances swtich a traditonal wireless AP with a point to point microwave dish?

Note any specific brand but one that is a high spec
