View Full Version : Audio to Real Audio
I am looking for software that will be able to convert audio CD files to real audio I can place on my site. I'm not sure if there are any free or commercial software available. Please Help? The idea package would be able to convert to all types: wav, mp3, real audio etc...
I also want to be able to use regualr cassette tapes and record them to wav and real audio files to put on a site. What would I need?

Go here:

You'll need real producer (basic is free, full version is $200)
What hardware would I need to take audio from cassette tapes to convert to real audio and wav format?

If the program you use supports input from tape, all you would need is a patch cord. Maybe a 1/4" to 1/8" stereo adapter as well, depending on the line out jack on the tape deck, and sometimes a splitter if the line out is in the form of two RCA jacks. Once you get the tape's line out signal into a 1/8" stereo jack, plug that into the Line In jack on your sound card.
Then you would record the track into the conversion program and from there it would be the same as converting from CD.

Hey Diz,
You should be able to use a walkman. Most have a "LINE OUT" port, then plug the other end into the "LINE IN" port on your sound card. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

Depends on what program you're using, but there should be some way of selecting what input you're using and then recording from it...
Music Match Jukebox, for example, has a number of choices, one of which is line-in from your sound card...and you can record in wav or mp3...
When all else fails, read the instructions...
