I got a HP Pavillion laptop with 3 gigs of RAM. The frequency says it's running at 160 MHz, but I think it needs to be up to 300?

Anyways, in the BIOS, all it says is its 3072 Mbytes of RAM. How do I go about changing frequency of this?

If it helps, it's a Phoenix BIOS. Motherboard is Quanta 30CF.

Are you sure it isn't 166.7MHZ or close to that? 166.7 x 4 = DDR2-667. With ram you take the bus speed, in this case 167 and x's it by 4 to get the actual effective speed of the ram. And no it may not be exactly right on the rated speed of the ram, but it should be close.

You x's it by 4 because data is transmitted 4 times during one clock cycle. :)
