After the exchange the other day on Napster in which someone suggested BearShare, I thought I'd take a look. Downloaded 3 complete cd's, each file about 40 meg. Took more than 7 hours, could have gone out and earned the $$$$ to buy the damned things by mowing lawns and it would have been quicker http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif And NONE of the 3 are complete, all terminated at about 95%. Since the cd's each xferred as one large file (rather than X number of individual songs) it's not possible to simply grab the needed tune or 3 to complete each cd. Of course, they cut off mid-song, so I'm wondering if there's a program which allows editing an mp3, somehow listening to it than stopping at the point of the termination of the last complete tune and deleting the unfinished portion. Would prefer shareware, of course.

Tried posting this to the mp3 newsgroup, but nooooo reply. If someone here doesn't have any ideas, I'm going to have to warm up the Lawnboy http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

For free you can use music match jukebox to convert the mp3s back to a wav and then use windows sound recorder to edit them...or you can spend money for an editing program like cool edit...I'm sure there are freeware editors...

Try www.tucows.com (http://www.tucows.com) or do a search at www.google.com... (http://www.google.com...)
