hi,i would to know if i can replace my 250 W power
supply unit with a 300 W for my casing and how should
I go abt doing it .

Who made your computer?
For example: Compaq, IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Dell, Gateway, Packard Bell.

You should have no problem upgrading the PS. If it's an ATX, any
vendor's unit should work. Just get a decent one, not the cheapest.
Another A-open, Enermax, or Antec are all pretty good.

Look on the back of the case, you should see 4 (usually) screws holding the power supply into the case. Unscrew those, pull the old power supply out, the reverse to install the new one.
Any decent one should work, I agree with tjay, don't get a cheapo, the only other thing to watch is if you're running an AMD processor, you'll need to make sure you get an AMD approved power supply.

er.... i just check the price of a power supply unit ,
kinda expensive , at least SGD $60 ...
i think its better to get the whole casing ..costing
abt the same , wat u think ?
would it advisable to get a 2nd hand one ... of course
i mean it definitely have to be a AMD approved one.
