I recently formatted my computer and installed windows 7.
When i checked my display it said "standard vga graphics adapter"
When i used xp, the display hardware was from nvidia but I don't know the model number. So i can't find the driver for my computer.
After i tried uninstalling the "standard vga graphics adapter", i tried using the tool in nvidia's website where it detects the hardware but it said that it couldn't find anything. So i couldn't install the driver for my graphics card. Since i dont know what my model number is and windows 7 keeps showing it's a standard vga graphics adapter, is there any way that i could identify the graphics card? Device manager keeeps showing it's a standard vga graphics adapter. any suggestions?? help!

Try SIW (http://www.snapfiles.com/get/siw.html) and see if it can identify your video card.

Do you know if you have a dedicated video card, or on-board?

What is the make and model of your system?

Also, it would help in future posts if you told us what PC you have, eg. make/model, etc.
