Ok, I bought a Cooler Master Storm Scout case from NewEgg. There are 4 usb ports on a front panel on top of the case... The wire that runs from the usb ports (3 and 4) was cut right by the part that connects to the mother board. Where could I buy that part from ( the usb header connector I guess and what is the actual term for it?)

Contact CoolerMaster. They may be able to send you one. Or more likely the whole i/o panel. If it was that way when you got it they will probably send one for free. It doesn't show one on their parts listings, but they should be able to get one.

jlr is right on... Most manufacturers don't want you returning something if they can send a replacement part and get you up and running.

I suspect that the manufacturer would ultimately bear a considerable portion of the cost when their retailers have to pack up returned "defective" products and ship them back. If they balk at sending out a replacement part, just tell them you're willing to bring it back to the place of purchase for an exchange, or to get your money back...

Awesome, thanks for the advice. Didn't even hit me that I should contact the actual manufacturer. I got the page that you make part requests, when I get home I'll snap a few photos of what I need, get the serial # and etc and hopfully they'll send it on it's way : ).

Thanks again,

Justin
