My system is a 333Mhz Intel Pentium II MMX Processor i440LX chip set award bios V4.51PG Bios string i440LX-BD2A69JD49C-00
128MB SDRAM
Microsoft Windows 98 4.10.1998 With all available updates
Drive C: 8433MB of 14654MB (FAT32) Western Digital caviar 15 Gb 7200 rpm
Drive D: 3017MB of 7648MB (FAT32) Quantum Big Foot 8 Gb 5400 rpm
Drive E: IOMEGA Zipcd CD Rewrite Drive
Drive F: Toshiba DVDROM

I am wanting to upgrade my ram and my system board manual says that i can
use 10,12,or 13ns SDRAM or 50,60ns EDO DRAM 3.3v it also supports EC and ECC

Can I use faster 9ns PC100 SDRAM on a board with a 66mhz buss

I am asking only because it is cheaper but not lower quality same mfgr same number of chips
I know i won't gain any more perpormance because of 66mhz buss

In most cases PC100 RAM can be used in PC66 sytem...my computer is 66Mhz bus speed, yet I'm running PC100, it just runs at the lowest supported speed. So in effect you are "underclocking" the memory. The PC rating is just the maximum that the memory will run at. Just don't try and mix the EDO and SDRAM unless the manual says that it can handle it...even then it may not be that great of an idea -- slowest speed again.
