I get price lists from a wholesaler via E-mail, but I cannot open them because they have an XLS extension. MS excel is expensive, so I am looking for a cheaper way to open, view, and print these files legibly. Is there a cheaper program out there that will do this?

I'm not sure of the integration success of these two programs, but they get rave reviews...I have Star Office 5.2 (approx 80MB) and I am very pleased with it although, I have not put it to test on this issue yet. Software 602 is a much smaller program, but get great kudos for the integration of varying office software. Here are the links to the sites where you may be able to determine whether or not they will do the job for you.

You could also investigate Lotus Notes, I think it can be had for less than $20 http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

You can try this program:

It's Excel File Viewer apparently from M$

I make no claims about either its safety or utility http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
