so I have had an E8400 for at least 2 years now, but never actually thought of properly OC'ing until now.
i have a Gigabyte Socket 775 board (EP45-UD3L). i OC in the BIOS through MB Intelligent Tweaker (M.I.T.).
I put CPU Clock Ratio to 9X and CPU Host Frequency to 400. I can only go 3.6Ghz stable.
What can I do to get to 4Ghz stable?
I keep Robust Graphics Booster on Auto and switched Performance Enhance to Standard to help keep the overall system stable when OC'ing the Processor.
I also want to OC my RAM. I use TWO Mushkin 2GB DDR2 800Mhz for a total of 4GB. I quite the newby when it comes to overclocking. I figured, instead of buying new parts, i will just OC as much as I can and just focus on cooling parts. My CPU's cooler is not stock by the way, so that's good.
Any tips or guides? Thanks!
