My friend who owns a HP computer has just tried installing Lynux onto his computer and has accidentally erased his Windows Fat32 partition. When trying to use the recovery disk all he got was a message stating that there was not a valid FAT or FAT32 partition and that he was need to re-partition his hard drive. Once that was done his system recovery program refuses to restor his system stating that it is not being run on a HP computer. Does this program only work if the pre-installed operating system is still on the HD or is there something else that needs to be done before running the sys. recovery CD?
