Hey, guys. Before I outline my problem, I might as well give you some of my specs:

Motherboard: ASUS FSB O.C. 1600

Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800

RAM: My RAM has been changed around so much that I am not really sure
what I have in there at the moment. Let me know if the specifics are important and I will gladly check.

CPU: Damnit, if only I could find that box. Well, I know it's an Intel Dual Core, I just don't know the specific model.

PSU: Rosewill RP600V2-S-SL 600W

Keyboard: G15

Mouse: Razer Mamba

Monitor: Acer x223w (don't know if that's helpful or not, it's just what's on the edge of the monitor.)

Alright, now for the problem. Last night I saw that some windows updates were ready to be installed. So, I hit Shut Down, watched them install, and just went to bed thinking that it wouldn't hurt if I left my computer off for the night.

Well, I came back from work today and turned on the computer and everything seemed to be fine. All the fans are running (including the ones on the video card and CPU) and all the lights are working fine. After about a minute, though, I noticed that there was still no picture on my monitor. I hit the reset button and got the same result. What I also noticed was that my mouse and keyboard weren't lighting up. That means my monitor isn't getting a picture and my usb ports aren't working.

I googled the problem on my laptop which brought me here. I read the thread that I landed on and also the sticky that's on this forum and tried everything I could. I unplugged everything from the mobo except the CPU and PSU and I got the beeps warning me that there was no RAM, so that means my mobo is working, right?(Oh God, please say yes.) But if my mobo was working correctly, wouldn't the usb ports be working correctly as well?

I also tried taking out my RAM and putting them in different slots and removing them/putting them back in to get rid of oxidization like someone in the sticky suggested. However, both of those didn't help and I am really starting to worry that it's a motherboard issue which kind of sucks because I just bought it a couple months ago. I haven't tried other RAM, though, because I don't have any other functional sticks in the house and I would hate to buy some brand new ones just to find out that the RAM isn't the problem.

Right now, having given up, I am just letting it run for a while hoping that it just needs to warm up or something because I never turn my computer off. I just have it set to go to sleep if I am inactive for more than an hour. This is the first time I have actually shut it down in quite a long time.

Any suggestions?

Try unplugging/plugging the SATA cable(s) to your HDD(s). Sadly, I have to do that about every 3 days to get my machine to boot up.

Unplug the computer, press the POWER button on your system cabinet, clear CMOS (you will need to move a jumper or might even need to remove the battery to do this properly), plug the computer in and execute BIOS setup. Your computer should be running fine.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. Unfortunately both of them didn't work. =( I cleared the CMOS by the jumpers first, and when that didn't work I tried the battery, which also didn't work. I think I will try leaving the battery out overnight or something because I read somewhere the battery method can take a couple hours.
