So can I change a Video card's memory by adding more virtual ram?
I ve been wondering this for some time. Or is there a way to increase
video card RAM? Speed is no problem, just resoloution and color depth.
How much ram does it take to turn a 4mb card into a 8mb card?

Welcome, Mahdi! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Not unless you have video integrated on the motherboard and your BIOS and chipset support the option
to share system RAM with video. Many Compaq and Hewlett-Packard desktop systems have this feature.

Most separate video expansion cards no longer have sockets to allow the
addition of more VRAM chips, although a very few used to and still may.

THX!!! Will it work with a 1725 (as in is the board intergrated
with the motherboard?) Compaq Presario? I have a Rage Pro (4mb).
I have a LOT of visual RAM (128). How much RAM does the Video card
use? I can always speed the card (3dx) but thx for answering!!
