Asus G71gx laptop wont turn on not even a light

Hi I have an asus G71gx rxo5 and the typical problem with it is that it overheats when playing heavy games like cod 5 and 6. The DC connector of the charger was repaired because it got ripped. I was playing cod6 will in plugged in and it suddenly turned of and wont turn on again. The power supply from the laptop works because when you plug it into the wall the light is on but when you plug it into to the laptop the light turns off. Is this due to a possible short circuit in the laptop and if so how can i fix it?

Can you run the laptop on battery without the power supply attached and plugged into the wall socket?

nothing works not even battery i tried everything

It's impossible to say for sure without being able to look at it, but it certainly seems as if the laptop has incurred major damage. If it's still under warranty, I would recommend sending it back to the manufacturer. If it's not, you may be looking at a repair bill which would outweigh the benefits of buying a replacement, depending on what needs to be repaired/replaced.
