I have one PC running Win2K Pro and another running Win95. Can I add the Win95 HDD, either as a channel 1 slave or as a channel 2 master (or slave) to the Win2K machine, and then edit boot.ini, so as produce a dual boot machine? The thing is, there's stuff on the Win95 machine I can't re-install, and simply putting the 2 HDDs into the same box seems the best option.
Thanks,
Tony.

Yes, you can do it.
No, it isn't as easy as just editing the Boot.ini file.
Go here NTLDR hacking information (http://www.dorsai.org/~dcl/publications/ntldr_hacking/index.html)
and download the files and "white" papers on NTLDR hacking. The papers are old but the information in them will give you a good idea how a dual boot system works.
If this seems like more work then it's worth. Then get bootmagic which gives you the option of which OS you want to bootup without having to hack any files.
Hope this helps http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
