What brand of hard drive did you install? Was it a retail version? Do you have installation softwarre with it?
Most drives come with installation software that allows you to transfer the contents from your old drive to the new one...if it didn't come with the drive got to the manufacturers website....I've got most of the majors listed on my site...

You may be able to download the hard drive utility that MJC refers to by going to the manufacturer's site.

I do it in 98SE like this. If 2K has a DOS prompt in windows (I don't have it but I'm guessing it does) it should work.
Install your new drive as a slave to the old one, partition and format. your old drive should be C: and your new one should be D:
Open DOS prompt in windows (do not restart in DOS) and type this.
XCOPY32 C:\ D:\ /R /I /C /H /K /E /Y
When it finishes copying files, shut down and re-configure old drive to slave and new drive to master, restart with a boot disk and choose the option to make the drive bootable (Sys C: ). Windows should now boot from the new drive.
GH, Pete, Tjay, MJC, ya might wanna check me on this. I can't think why this wont work, but one of you guys might.

Yawning: That's supposed to work according to some info I've seen, but I don't trust it, especially with Win2000 and untested/unproven. The best way to go by far is by using the manufacturer's installation software, and that's the ONLY way I would do it. Disk Manager is usually the software posted and it does an excellent job of transferring data, including a working OS.
Since this is Win2000, it might turn out to be necessary to install it from scratch, since it's designed around the NT kernel which is an entirely different animal than Win 95/98, and could also be using the NTFS file system. If it is NTFS my guess is that a complete install from scratch will probably be necessary, I don't know if Disk Manager can handle NTFS. If it's FAT32 it might work...
Fujitsu Downloads (http://www.fujitsu.com/download/hdds/) is the place to go to get it, Disk Manager/Disk GO! is the software to do it with. Be sure and check for a readme file, or instructions on the website, again this is Win2000, which is entirely different than dealing with win95/98.

Regardless how many command-line switches you use, there is a risk with Xcopy or Xcopy32.
