In reference to http://www.pcguide.com/ref/video/3dCards-c.html
I have a Monster Fusion card on my system (I think it must be a combination card). But the Monster Fusion cards causes errors making me not able to play EverQuest and in Black&White trees and houses get the wrong textures (purple trees, black houses, trees made out of hearts).
Now i'm thinking of buying a dedicated 3D card.
Can I build in a dedicated 3D card while keeping the Monster Fusion card? Or would this cause conflicts?
Thanks

It didn't help, thanks anyway.
Plus I got windows ME and the latest Monster Fusion drivers are for Windows 98.
Some more info, these are the cards Black&White supports:
Voodoo II
Voodoo II SLI
Voodoo III
Voodoo 5
Permedia 3
ATI Rage 128
ATI RADEON
Millennium G400/G450
nVidia Riva TNT
nVidia Riva TNT 2
nVidia GeForce 256
nVidia Quadro
nVidia GeForce2
Savage 4
Savage 2000
PowerVR Kyro
So is it possible to have a combination card and a dedicated 3d card at the same time. And if so, what card would be the best?

SOLUTION: Install Win 98 SE http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif You just think you have problems with the video........how about all the Win Me lockup's that "just happen"? I would dump Me in a heartbeat and your troubles will diminish.

Dumping ME might help, but then that's a waste of money since you already have it. My recommendation is to ditch the card all together and buy a new graphics card. Radeon's are at great prices, or go all out with geforce 3. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Jules,
Unless Im confused on something, I think you are a bit confused.........
All of the newer cards are combination 2D-3D video cards, the only cards that were not were the VooDoo1 and 2 or similar.........you dont need to keep your old card you need to replace it.........1st make sure you have an AGP slot and then you're in business......I think the moster fusion is a banshee based board with 16mb of video memory?
Id recommend getting a GeForce2 400 64MB "If the cost is an issue" they are only about $100 if you have more cash then get a better card.......
That fusion card although close to good enough is most likely gonna be leaving alot to be desired here shortly............
Good Luck!
PS - Completely Agree........... "Ditch ME!"

What I meant by what I said is hopefully less confusing then the contemplation of the question that led to the confusion in the 1st place.......

I believe that dumping Win Me is saving money.....if you value you time ....... you can spend hours, days & weeks trying to make Lemonade out of Win Me and still end up with a Lemon http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
