Is there a free image viewer that will not place the file name (when you open the image) in the "documents" list of files that have been opened? I sure get tired of clearing those file names out.
Thanks.

Do you mean in "My Recent Documents?"
You might want to consider CCleaner if so... It empties and dumps pretty much everything in a heartbeat.

This tutorial explains how to remove the "My Recent Documents" from the Start list: http://ask-leo.com/how_do_i_remove_the_documents_item_on_my_start_men u.html
I would still suggest using CCleaner. It frees up RAM, it eliminates .dat files, cleans the My Recent Documents, etc. It is completely customizable for what elements you want it to work on. I don't have a boat load of RAM on my daily use rig, so I can see the improvements in speed immediately after I run CCleaner. I do so when on line every 1/2 hr or so just to tweak my system...it is amazing how much RAM it frees up...

A)I use 5 copies of the Janitor Script (http://lifehacker.com/288443/clean-out-old-files-with-the-windows-janitor-script) VBS file, and edit each so they delete the following files [older than]:
1. C:\Documents and Settings\Sylvander\Local Settings\Temp [1 day]
2. C:\Documents and Settings\Sylvander\Recent [2 days]
3. C:\WINNT\Temp [7 days]
4. C:\WINNT\Minidump [2 days]
5. D:\Moved\Firefox\Profiles\Sylvander\minidumps [30 days]
You might do more.
B) Each of these can be run automatically as a Windows task, but I prefer to do it manually at intervals.
It's real easy to do; just click on each in turn.
