Windows 2000 Uninstall

I recently installed Windows 2000 over Windows 95. I kept both operating systems and used a dual boot. I need to uninstall Windows 2000, but do not know how to do this without damaging Windows 95. Is there an easy way to do this, without reinstalling Windows 95? I'd appreciate any help!

First check that you have no NTFS partitions. If you do use Windows NT's disk administrator to delete them first.( You will of course loss all data on that partition.)

Then use a Windows 95 boot disk to "sys" the C drive, and reboot. The computer should boot to Windows 95 without an option to boot NT. Now delete the following files.

pagefile.sys
boot.ini
ntldr
ntdetect.com
bootsec.dos
ntbootdd.sys ( if it exist)


You can then delete the WINNT directory or whatever directory held the NT files.

Thanks for all the help. I did sys the c drive and delete the files listed, but wasn't sure if that's all I had to do. It didn't seem like enough!
