New processor or graphics card, please help!

hi,
recently my computer has been running quite slow, so i asked my dad if we could upgrade. the choice is either between a new processor or graphics card
my current specs are:

2.2 ghz processor
512 mb graphics card

and the new ones are:
i5 3.2 ghz
1 gig graphics

which one should i choose, the main thing i use my computer for is playing games, mainly world of warcraft and call of duty modern warfare 2. my main goal is to play the games smoothly without lag at full graphics, also, if i choose the graphics card, will it be 'bottlenecked' by the slow processor. i am also currently using 2 gigs of ram, would you recommend buying more?

Full system specs please. Brand and model numbers. 2GHZ and 512 video card doesn't really help at all. That could be a very wide variety of components.

And because the new video card has 1GB memory doesn't help either. Just because it has more memory doesn't mean it is better.

If it's 2.2GHz Core 2, you will NOT be able to just throw in an i5 in there.
