View Full Version : Inability to access my Univ. of Maryland Course!!

I can access any site I want,EXCEPT UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND!!!!! If my
computer sees---UMUC-----it treats it like A "CYBER AIDS VIRUS"!!!!!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Thank You.

Do you get any error msg's or what exactly happens?
Perhaps a link to the exact page you're trying to access, will turn up an obvious answer.........Some web pages at that site may only be accessable to computers actually "at the UMUC".....and you may need special permissions to access them

What I meant by what I said is hopefully less confusing then the contemplation of the question that led to the confusion in the 1st place.......

AwARe,I get "PAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAYED" now,anytime I try to access UMUC.
I first came on the their system two month's ago and from that time until
last week I had no problems.Now,I not only can't access my history class,
I can't even access their main web page which "ANY" computer can do!!! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif

Try clearing out the browser cache...for IE it is in internet options...temporary internet files.

I'm in Maryland.. and I can access it.. lol
but seriously, that was yesterday... perhaps they were having site/server problems.. since it's an online college they would be possibly kina busy at times....
does it work today ?
is it only that site?

I FINALLY FIXED IT!!!!!! The problem was in my lan settings.Instead of
putting the check by "automatically detect settings" I placed it by
"prozy server".Boy you learn something new each day!!!! I really appreciate
you advice guys!! Thanks.
