I received an e-mail with a virus attached. I sent the e-mail back to the sender with a note. I then deleted the received mail from my computer. Later I remembered that the mail was still in my "sent" box on outlook. I went there to delete it. The mail was there but it no longer had the paperclip attachment thing on it. Where did the attachment go? Should I worry? My scans show no virus on my computer.

are you using outlook express? do you have it set to delete ( empty ) your deleted folder upon exit? if so OE just deleted the message when you closed it, and since you didn't save it to begin with, i wouldn't worry about it. by the way, what anti-virus program are you running, if it's norton-then don't worry, if your anti-virus definitions are up to date, norton does a virtual scan of email when you download it, if it catches a virus it'll alert you( i have mine just set to delete, i'm not really interested in examining the virus, and i can find any info i need in nortons log ) http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif
