Hello,

I'm new from this forum and I have a small home network with 6 desktops and 3 laptops. Id like to keep an eye on bandwidth each PC is using, espeically games. It's family use so I simply dont want a commercial software, freeware are appreciated.

I know I can google, but It gives so many suggestions and they take time to try one by one. I just want you guys tell me your experiences. So,whats the best software for monitoring network traffic?

Thanks. :)

The easiest way is to monitor the network connections at the router. What home router are you using?
The feature you want to look at for gaming is a router that allows you to adjust Quality of Service (QOS).

I quite like Bandwidth Meter Pro (http://www.bandwidth-meter.net/) (30 day free trial) on any particular PC. I don't really need it so didn't buy it after the 30 days.

I googled the keywords network utilization, and the 1st website in the list was a software called colasoft capsa: http://www.colasoft.com/capsa., seems a freeware. I'm trying it :-)

There is a difference between a free trial (your link) and a free (though limited) edition (http://www.colasoft.com/capsa/capsa-free-edition.php).
