I was given a computer that was on a network. Is there a standard Username
password and domain that I can use to get into this system? It has Windows
NT as the O/S. Thanks in advance.

Best I can tell you is either contact the previous owner or reinstall Windows. NT security is very difficult to circumvent.

You need to find out the system administrator password, other wise if you log on as a guest you will not be able to change any settings, i would contact the people who gave it to you and request the system adminstrator logon( sometimes called privilages). If you wish to keep NT, this will allow you to configure and run the system as you see fit. The nice thing about NT is it handles different user profiles, so you could set up profiles for your family( aka kids ) where they couldn't change any system files, therefor making for less headaches. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

Welcome WorkFromHom. You have what is called Locked Out of The House. If it was given to you as such -- Just bite the bullet and re-install Windoz. You wouldn't have any files or anything in there of your own anyway. Smile Awhile.
