volume control

during the course of removing lots of other programs, i dont know how, but i have somehow caused the volume control icon to no longer appear in the tray. how do i get it back?

Goto control panel; select multimedia properties, there will be a small box at the bottom that says" show volume control on the task bar "-just make sure it is checked.
