I am looking to build a ATA100 Raid for my computer. I will be doing a lot of Audio/Video & heavy Graphic/3D.

I have a AMD TBird 1.2GHz 266FSB with 512megs of ram and a ATA100 7200 20gig HD.

Where do I go from here? What Raid Card and setting 0, 1, 5? What drives? I'm really looking for speed. Any information would be most helpful. Thanks!

1st thing I'd suggest is a trip to the RAID (http://www.pcguide.com/ref/hdd/perf/raid/index.htm) chapter of the PC Guide.

2nd-another hard drive, to go with RAID you'll need at least two.

3rd-read the above link and be sure a RAID configuration is appropriate for your uses. It should also give you an idea which type will suit your situation.

And just for good measure, go to Google (http://www.google.com) and type in RAID. I'm sure you'll be busy reading for days...than you can make an informed decision on whether to use RAID and what type to set up.
