View Full Version : Keyboard Rewire....HELP!!!

I really need help bad. I just spent the last 2 hours on the web looking for a wiring diagram that shows me how to rewire the ps2 connector on my keyboard....I have the connector just need to know what color wire goes to what pin number.... any help would be much appreciated...

Are you sure you want to go through all of that.....I get PS2 keyboards for $6.......surely you can too http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
I guess you could go to the keyboard' mfg. website to get thier wiring diagram.

Thanks for the help. I am repairing a HP multimedia board for someone. Couldn't find any help on hp's site.

jetblast -- If you are dealing with a HP PC, Unicomp would be your best bet as the mfg of the keyboard. They have a toll freebie # 1-800-777-4886 ext. 202 - 203 - 206. Betcha they can help you out with a color code/pin # for wiring. They are supposed to have 24hr reply service with e-mail. unicomp@pckeyboard.com This is per thier website. Luck.
