Welcome to the PC Guide ckumarbabu http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
If it's Internet Explorer (5 or 5.5...not sure about the older ones):
Tools/Internet Options/General where you see Temporary Internet Files click delete files
You can also go into the Temporary Internet Files settings and adjust your allocated storage to a lower number like 10-15MB http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
On Netscape look for something similar under preferences I believe.

You could also use a program like HistoryKill from http://www.historykill.com/ it's shareware but you can get a time limited free demo, or cleanup http://www.softwaretrials.com/cookiescache/ which is not time limited.
I use it regularly (historykill at work (only 4 days left on the demo) & cleanup at home) they clean up the history nicely, so that your 'recent' documents are only recent to the current session, & if anyone snoops on my work comp. they can't see what I've been writing about them (or more importantly where to find it, as all my docs are either on CD, Floppy or in hidden files on HDD) of course they clean the cache, recycle bin etc. as well.
NOTE: spend a little time thinking about how You want to configure them before you use them or you may accidently remove something that you didn't want to.

if you also look under your advanced tab in internet options; you'll see a check box that says " empty temporary files folder when browser is closed ", make sure to check that-IE will automactically empty the temp internet files folder when you exit IE; or at least that's the theory. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif In reality i't's usually a good idea to use bassvax's suggestion too.
