I have no idea what I did! I started by computer up one day and it said on the screen "I/O system driver failed to load" then below that it also said "File in the .\iosbsys subdirectory is corrupt or the system is low on memory". I know that I have plenty of computer memory, so that probably isn't the problem. However, I need to use my computer like 6 times a day, and (I'm a college student) running down to the computer lab is getting really icky. I have a Windows 95 boot disk if that is necessary. Please help me!!!!!

Here's what theMicrosoft Knowledge Database (http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q225/4/97.ASP) has to say about it.

If you had everything...Where would you put it?

Just to expand a little bit on Pete's referral (the Knowledge Base article may be a little terse for you):

You'll need to start up off of your aforementioned boot disk. In the Windows directory (under C), there should be a file called system.ini. Open it using the DOS edit command. (That is, when you get to the C:> prompt, go to the Windows directory and type "edit system.ini" (w/o the quotes obviously). If you don't have a file called "edit.com" on your boot disk, you'll need to copy it over from the C drive.)

System.ini is basically a text file that stores some essential info about your computer. "[vcache]" (note the brackets) should be somewhere flush with the left edge. If not, put it in and then "maxfilecache=6144" under it. Then save the file and exit. According to the Microsoft Knowledge Base at least, that should solve your problem.

Hope this helps!
